Beyond our limited lifetime, we can continue to make a difference by leaving our assets to benefit others. Who do we want to entrust our legacy to? Your final gift will be in good hands with us. Your will<\/strong><\/p>\n

If a person dies without leaving a will, statutory succession applies. Depending on the family circumstances, the spouse and blood relatives inherit. If the probate courts cannot determine an heir, the inheritance passes to the state. If you do not want this to happen and would like to leave your inheritance or part of it to loved ones, friends or a good cause, for example, you must draw up a will. In order for such a will to be valid, a number of formal requirements must be observed when drafting it. You should also consider how to store it securely.<\/p>\n

There are various options for settling your estate: for example, you can specify a bequest in your will or appoint the foundation as your heir.[\/vc_column_text][\/vc_column_inner][\/vc_row_inner][vc_row_inner][vc_column_inner width=”1\/2″][vc_column_text]<\/p>\n

Your legacy<\/strong><\/p>\n

With a legacy in your will, you can stipulate that certain sums of money, a certain percentage of your estate or even individual assets should go to specific individuals or organisations without them becoming your heirs. This gives you the freedom to support the work of charitable organisations alongside your family or trusted individuals. Your heirs are then legally obliged to fulfil this legacy.<\/p>\n

Your inheritance<\/strong><\/p>\n
