EXECUTIVE BOARD<\/h3>\n

The Foundation Tinnitus and Hearing Charit\u00e9 is managed by a four-member Executive Board, which represents the Foundation both in and out of court and administers it on its own responsibility in accordance with the Foundation’s statutes (see Foundation Statutes \u00a7 7). The chairperson is Professor Dr. Birgit Mazurek, Director of the Tinnitus Center Charit\u00e9 – Universit\u00e4tsmedizin Berlin.[\/vc_column_text][vc_empty_space height=”74″][vc_row_inner][vc_column_inner width=”1\/6″][vc_single_image image=”9743″ img_size=”200×200″ alignment=”right” css=”.vc_custom_1764080841340{margin-left: -15px !important;}”][vc_column_text]<\/p>\n

After completing her ENT residency, Prof. Dr. Birgit Mazurek established the Tinnitus Center of the Charit\u00e9 since 2001. In order to offer patients with severe tinnitus interdisciplinary care, the center was expanded in 2003 to include a day clinic.<\/p>\n

Prof. Dr. Birgit Mazurek conducts basic research and publishes in the field of changes in the auditory system. The Tinnitus Symposium, organized annually by the Center together with the Foundation, serves to promote interdisciplinary scientific communication. Prof. Dr. Birgit Mazurek was president of both the XI World Tinnitus Congress (2014) and the 55th Inner Ear Biology Congress (2018), both held in Berlin.<\/p>\n

Dr. Magnus R\u00fcde was appointed Managing Director of the Executive Board of Charit\u00e9 – Universit\u00e4tsmedizin Berlin in 2017, having already been Head of the Staff Office of the Executive Board of Charit\u00e9 since 2010.<\/p>\n

He holds a doctorate in history from the Humboldt University in Berlin; he has a Master of Management degree from the Malik Management Zentrum St. Gallen. He has distinguished himself as an author and editor of publications on knowledge management. Dr. R\u00fcde explains his involvement in the German Foundation Tinnitus and Hearing Charit\u00e9 thus:<\/p>\n

With its commitment, the foundation is making a valuable contribution to medical research, treatment and education that will improve the lives of more than 7 million people in Germany.”<\/i><\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n

In 1975, Dr. Mackebrandt founded CMS Societ\u00e4t f\u00fcr Unternehmensberatung GmbH, which, as Restrukturierungspartner jwt GmbH & Co. KG, has become one of the leading management consulting firms for restructuring and in the event of insolvency. Dr. Mackebrandt is co-editor of the journal “KSI. Krisen-, Sanierungs- und Insolvenzberatung”.<\/p>\n

His honorary posts: Honorary member of the Bundesverband Deutscher Unternehmensberater BDU e.V. (since 2019, Member of the Executive Committee 1999-2016) \/ Deputy Chairman of the BDU e.V. (since 2019, Member of the Executive Committee 1999-2016). Member of the Board of Directors of the Federal Employment Agency (2002-2018) \/ Vice-President of the Federal Association of Liberal Professions (2000-2016).<\/p>\n

“Millions of people suffer from tinnitus. Our foundation is a way for those affected to help themselves. But it is also important for society as a whole. Because by being mindful, we can protect our hearing so that suffering doesn’t happen in the first place.”<\/i><\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n

Dr. Ansch\u00fctz received his doctorate in contemporary church history from the University of Heidelberg; he has published on the relationship between Protestantism and National Socialism and on the significance of foreign reconciliation work for Berlin’s postwar history. Postgradually, he earned the title of Fundraising Manager (FM\/FA). Until 2009, Dr. Ansch\u00fctz was the managing director of B\u00fcrgerstiftung Neuk\u00f6lln. In 2010, he was appointed founding coordinator of the German Foundation Tinnitus and Hearing Charit\u00e9 and subsequently its Managing Director. In September 2021, Dr. Ansch\u00fctz was appointed to the Foundation’s Executive Board.<\/p>\n

“In our foundation, we have set ourselves a comprehensive mission: We provide research funding, we organize international science communication, we are involved in prevention, and throughout Europe we promote the cooperation of self-help organizations. We try to motivate as many people as possible to support us: Because everyone can help to ensure that the lonely tinnitus condition finally receives the necessary public attention in Germany as well. And all of them can contribute to the foundation’s continued success through donations. That’s why I’m confident and happy to get involved on the board now.”<\/i><\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n
