Partner of the AgeHearing-QoL research project
EUTINNET – the European Tinnitus Self-Help Network, which was founded in 2019 under the umbrella of our foundation – is part of the “AgeHearing-QoL” research project.
The aim of the study is to investigate new and early forms of care to improve the quality of life of ageing people with hearing loss. The initial focus is on analysing psychosocial factors such as subjective experience of ageing, adaptability, perceived stress and social support. Research will then be conducted into how the early use of hearing aids and psychosocial training affect the quality of life of people with mild to moderate hearing loss.
The results will be summarised in recommendations for the early care of ageing people with hearing loss and presented to the public. The project is funded by the German Innovation Committee of the Joint Federal Committee and will run until March 2008.
