After a research stay in Canada at the Montreal Neurological Institute, he habilitated at the Faculty of Medicine of Otto von Guericke University Magdeburg in the field of physiology. Since 2007 he holds the Chair of Experimental ENT Medicine at Erlangen University Hospital and leads the research laboratory of the ENT Clinic. His scientific work focuses on the neurobiological mechanisms of hearing and learning, the neurophysiological connections between hearing loss and tinnitus, and the development of innovative treatment strategies for tinnitus. We sincerely thank Prof. Dr. Holger Schulze for his willingness and commitment to support the foundation as a member of the Scientific Advisory Board on a voluntary basis.
